TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that
the financial results for the period to be reported upon next will differ by
at least 20% from the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are advised that Poynting is currently finalising its results
for the six months ended 31 December 2011 and expects its earnings per share
and headline earnings per share for the six months ended 31 December 2011 to
improve to at least a profit of 1.42 cents per share compared to the previous
corresponding period`s loss per share and headline loss per share of 3.15
cents and 1.85 cents respectively.
The range, within 20%, by which the earnings per share and headline earnings
per share will increase cannot be determined with a reasonable degree of
certainty at this stage. Further information, as required in terms of the JSE
Listings Requirements, will be provided to shareholders as soon as there is a
greater degree of certainty.
The information on which this trading statement has been based has not been
reviewed or reported on by Poynting`s auditors. Poynting`s unaudited interim
financial results for the six months ended 31 December 2011 are expected to
be released on SENS on or about 29 February 2012.
